Weekly Theme  (Start Monday, continue with the theme all week)

This week's theme is HORSES.  ~Horse Pictures/Printouts~

The vocabulary word is mane - the long hair growing on the neck of a horse.

Gross Motor Skills Activity:  (Monday)

Ride on a hobby horse.  If you don't have one, create one with a short broom handle, or even a wrapping paper roll.  You can ride your hobby horse while reciting the poem "My Horse" above.

Fine Motor Skills Activity:  (Friday)

Glue a mane on a printout of a horse with cuttings of yarn.
 

Shape/Color  (Tuesday)

This week you will teach the color brown.

Letter  (Wednesday)

The letter this week is the letter N.

Number  (Thursday)

The number this week is the number 14.

Nursery Rhyme  (Friday)

The nursery rhyme this week is Ride a Cock Horse.  Recite often!

Ride a cock-horse to Banbury Cross,
To see a fine lady upon a white horse;
With rings on her fingers, and bells on her toes,
She shall have music wherever she goes.
