Day 1

Read Germs Make Me
Sick by Melvin Berger.
-
Put a sticker, drawing,
or picture of something that will represent germs (ie: bacteria, viruses)on
your "My Science Journey Poster."
-
Discuss the reading with
your child.
-
Go and wash your hands
with your child and discuss how keeping clean can keep germs away.
I sing a rhyme with my children to remind them of how long they need to
wash with soap and warm water to kill the germs.
(Sing to the tune of Row,
Row, Row your Boat)
Day 2
Be creative.... (choose
one or more suggestion)

Use this "What
are germs?" coloring sheet.

Draw a picture.... I suggest
having your child draw a picture of the different kinds of germs (see pg.
7 of Germs Make Me Sick).

Make a Rules of Good Health
poster (see pg. 31 of Germs Make Me Sick).
