Downpour
by Katrina Lybbert

Down came the rain one wet stormy night,
It fell down so heavily it gave me a fright!

Were elephants dancing up there on my roof?
Or maybe wild horses banging each hoof?

Then suddenly it stopped, just as fast as it came,
And I snuggled back into my bed once again.

Songs that support the theme:

It's Raining, It's Pouring
Singing in the Rain
April Showers

If possible.... take a walk in the rain and splash in puddles.

Play in the sink with a strainer and watch your homemade downpour!

Doctor Foster went to Glo'ster,
In a shower of rain;
He stepped in a puddle, up to his middle,
And never went there again.
