Handwriting Assignments:
Day 1: Practice writing the letter "n" on one line of handwriting paper.
Day 2: Practice writing the letter "t" on one line of handwriting paper.
Day 3: Practice writing the consonant blend "nt" on one line of handwriting paper.
Day 4: Practice writing the word "print" one or two times.
Day 5: Practice
writing any of the other theme words one or two times.
Activities and/or Art Projects
In some of the books listed above there are many ideas for making prints.
You could try potato printing, fingerprinting (with finger paint), and so on.
Printing --- in other words --- handwriting, can be practiced in a variety of ways. Try using felt markers, stamp pads with alphabet rubber stamps, painting and so on.
Take
a field trip to a newspaper printing plant.
